This Thanksgiving weekend, Peninsula Minor Hockey is honoured to be hosting the Larry Orr Memorial Eagle Cup U15 Tournament.

Our former VP of Operations, Mike Brown said it best: “Larry Orr was a Saanich Peninsula icon and embodied everything that is great about Canadian Minor Hockey. His home-based skate shop was ground zero for sharpening for Peninsula Minor Hockey and the Peninsula Panthers. His shop was warm, welcoming, and chock-full of local hockey memorabilia. When players and parents departed Larry’s shop on any given day, they likely left with three things: a smile from spending a few minutes with Larry, razor-sharp skates, and a fresh piece of Dubble-Bubble chewing gum – Larry’s signature parting gift. You will notice that this year’s tournament souvenir bears a striking resemblance to that Dubble-Bubble symbol. Thanks for the memories, Larry…we miss you.”
