PMHA is accepting applications for coaches of all age levels.  If you want to coach or be an assistant with a PMHA team, at representative or recreational – you need to put in an application.

All successful PMHA coach applicants will need to make sure their Respect in Sport, Criminal Record Check, Concussion Awareness Training and Safe Return to Play qualifications are all up to date through Hockey Canada.

Applications will be accepted from parent and non-parent applicants – PMHA policy allows for non-parent coaches of U13, U15 and U18 representative teams to receive, subject to board approval and application, a stipend of $3,000 for Head Coaches and $1500.00 for Assistant Coaches to a maximum of 2 paid coaches per team (see PMHA policy 4.3.12).

All applications are reviewed by a coaching selection committee, which has at least two PMHA members. The coaching selection committee is set up so that conflict of interest is reduced as much as possible – and that the process is as transparent and open as possible. Coaching applications will be reviewed based on merit, experience, development plans and team focus.

The committee will contact successful applicants for interviews – and then bring their recommendation to the PMHA board for approval.

We want to thank everyone who applies for coaching at PMHA, and to your dedication to helping kids develop as hockey players and as people over the next season.

Please apply via the Coach Application section of the Coach’s Locker page (bottom of the page).
