Proof of Vaccination Requirements

September 14th, 2021 Update: PMHA is aware of the newest update from Panorama that states youth indoor sporting events with less than 50 people will not require Proof of Vaccination. We are working to process this information and communicate to our division coordinators and team managers (those in place as many teams are still finding one). We ask all members be patient; our organization is volunteer run and needs time to plan and communicate updates. We respectfully request PMHA members not contact Panorama Recreation at this time. Please be kind to our Board Members, Division Coordinators, and Team Managers, they make hockey possible! PMHA remains focused on keeping our kids playing hockey.

Peninsula Minor Hockey Association has been hard at work to clarify how Vaccine Passports will impact our members and our game. Based on information provided to us from Panorama and other local recreation facilities, our members must be aware of the following:

  • All spectators 12 years and older will be required to provide Proof of Vaccination to gain entrance to Panorama Recreation centre as of Monday, September 13th, 2021.
  • Due to changing information, PMHA is recommending that all Team Volunteers, Officials (12 years and older), and Coaches be prepared to provide Proof of Vaccination to enter Panorama as of Monday, September 13th, 2021

If any of our members anticipate being unable to provide proof of vaccination, please be aware you may not be permitted entrance to the arena. Additionally, we have been informed that other Facilities, both public and private, may have different rules related to Proof of Vaccination. We request that each team and family be aware of these guidelines before travelling to other facilities. We anticipate more detail and communication to come as away games are scheduled. Plan ahead and communicate with your team manager if Proof of Vaccination requirements will impact your team – ie: you are a volunteer or coach and are unable to provide Proof of Vaccination and will be denied entry to a facility.

PMHA is committed to keeping kids on the ice playing the game they love. As a user group of Panorama Recreation Centre we need to comply to their rules to ensure our associations ongoing access to the facility. We understand this issue has been confusing and information regarding Proof of Vaccination has been changing quickly. We ask for patience, flexibility and a continued focus on supporting our players and volunteers. If you have questions please contact the VP of Admin.
